I had been wanting to try this out for ages! I have 2 friends having babies this summer, so I decided to make this sweet lovey!
This works up incredibly fast, it was easy to follow along with, and the “crochet school” tips introduced me to a better way to color change!
I made 2: one doing yarn under and one doing yarn over. Yarn under will give you a much firmer feel, while yarn over will make it loose!
I highly recommend this pattern, even if you’ve never made stuffed animals before!

I really enjoyed crocheting this little duck. The pattern was easy to follow and it turned out well. I will definitely be crocheting another.

It had been a while since I crocheted, so I was a little nervous starting on Kalle the Highland Cow, but the video tutorial was so helpful! I watched some of the sections MANY times, to make sure I was following the pattern correctly. My Kalle came out beautifully, and it will be a lovey for my first grandbaby that is arriving soon!

In addition to following the video (and changing the speed setting) I also followed the written pattern. The only difficulty I had was with the head. When I switched to main color after the mussel, my increase peaks never lined up. Also attaching head - stitches seemed off and finished head was always slightly off. But, this is definitely a fun and beautiful project and Juliane Heise is so helpful in responding to my emails. Thank you from Texas!
